”Your ability to be well prepared, persistent and to navigate on your own put you to a test. Your ability to swim long distances on your own, to stand cramp, seasickness, cold, fatigue, pain, nourishment and liquid is a part of the race.
The security is well dimensioned but on purpose leaves a part of the responsibility to you, as a swimmer. You own responsibility is part of the challenge.To be allowed to participate you will sign a document where you take on full responsibility.

Participation is at your risk. In order to start, you will have to sign a disclaimer after the pre-race meetup.
An exception is possible, but then you contact the race management email@example.com for information and conditions for the exception, before signing up to the race.

It is attached to your waist and it floats about half a meter behind you. All swimmers use the swimcap handed out to you at the prerace meeting.
There will follow boats going back and forth. It is your responsibility to notify a functionary/race management if you decide to discontinue the race.

A doctor and other medically trained personnel with knowledge of CPR will be present at the race.
Postpone the start by 1-2 hours if there is fog, thunder, etc.
Cancel the race in case of thunder.
If foggy we use, if possible, “pace” kayaks. Like in the start of a trotting race…Please note that nobody swims past the “pace kayaks until the safety personnel allows you to.
In bad weather conditions which endanger the safety of swimmers and crew, cancel the entire arrangement, or, if possible, change to the day after.

TIMELIMIT (6 km)
The maximum time to achieve an official position and a “finish t-shirt” is three hours. All those who complete the race receive a medal, even if the time exceeds three hours.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
There will be two stops where you can get drinks/food/energy.
- Ekens Camping after about 1000 m
- Gyllene Rasten after about 3500 m
Drinks: Water, sports drinks (Umara sport), Coke, coffee
Food/energy: U-bar – Energy bar (cocos, cranberry, apple/cinnamon och mint chocolate)
U-gel – raspberry, bananas, buns, Snicker´s, candy.
You bring your car or own transport to Sundet where you pick your start kit. From there you will travel by bus to the start at the Ekens camping. The bus departs at 12:45 from Sundet, Be on time !!. The bus arrives at

The start is at 14:00.
CHECK IN START (6 km)
You pick your start kit at the reception in Sundet. You get the bathing cap, labeled bag for coveralls, etc. There is generous parking space. Check-in can take place from 11.00 to 12.30 at the latest.
NOTE! If you have not checked in you may not participate in the race.
